♥ Mrs. Itachi Uchiha™ & MAJNOO! : Bleach & Kyo & Natsume ♥ [ Maxh!Jesh ]

Gold, her hair carefully French-braided at the back, so that only a few, red bangs fell at the front, right into a pair of bright, green eyes, stepped into the classroom for the Potions final. She had thought it wouldn’t have that air of conspiracy anymore, that of something – anything – waiting to happen in the wings of strained weather, of all sorts of chaos bidding its time to break lose in one, abrupt wave.

... and it didn’t. In a way, Potions – or at least Potions classes, this term – had lost that touch of titanic chaos, the fire [literally] that had been associated with it, at the start of the term, and even halfway through it. But, as she stepped into the class right now, Gold had to admit that despite this, both the subject and the Potions Mistress could still completely throw her off her feet. Because what she saw was the last thing she had expected, given the circumstances.

So this was a final. THE final. The last that she would sit, before she progressed to actual NEWT-level study, next year. Gold wanted to do well on it, she really did. But how could she, with that kneazle over that, meow!howling like he was sick – which you could tell he was – and making her think a lot of unhappy things. Like how Professor Lafay probably wouldn’t try whatever they would whip up, on the kneazle. Like how it wasn’t kind, not at all, to keep the poor thing sick then, for the mere purpose of displaying it to a few students. Like how the kneazle might grow worse, and then they would all feel responsible. Oh, and like how it wasn’t good for concentration, to have a kneazle meow!howling in the classroom.

A sick kneazle.

She resisted the urge to go over to the creature, take him in her arms, and fix him up. She was getting better and better at healing magic everyday, might even have reached a plateau with self-dependent learning, but she had no idea if the kind of healing magic you used on humans, applied to kneazles, too. She wouldn’t want to risk hurting him even more. The best way out for the kneazle was probably for all of htem to get to work as quickly as possible - because the sooner they finished, probably the sooner Professor Lafay would see and tend to him.

So Gold looked around, and raised a small, white hand, in the hopes that someone would notice it. Because yes, she didn't feel like hunting out a partner right now, much as she wanted to get to work.

“Does anyone need a partner?”

Someone probably did.
