But the smirk didn't last more than a milisecond when she mentioned people treating her a certain way. "And I'm sure us getting to play Quidditch together doesn't help." But that's how haters worked. "I think you need to give yourself more credit. Not many are willing to admit they want to date someone. Especially when I was working up how to ask you out." Smiling at her. "And not just because you're attractive."
When they both fell in. Falcon was glad his hair was braided a certain way, keeping majority of the frizz contained... for now. "I'm fine." Moving to help her up. "Yeah, you're right about that." Looking he could see part of the lake had some green liquid. "Say, I think some of the dye is coming out." But not wanting this little slip-up fully distract from what happened earlier. She likes him and he likes her. "So... would you be down for a trip to Hogsmeade together next week? You could pick the place." Quaffle was practically in her court now. Iris couldn't help the blush that creeped up her neck, and face just by Falcon looking at her, smiling at her, giving her compliments or even when he smirked. His comment about quidditch though made Iris pause, and get serious. "You're probably right, but I'm not giving up on playing on our house quidditch team with you because of some people with hate issues. We can't let them win." Nope, she wasn't going to give up playing a sport that she loved or getting to play and spend time with her team or Falcon escpecially. "Think I should tell our head of house about the hair thing?"
Falcon's next comment made Iris whole face light up with a big wide happy warm beam at the compliments he sprinkled her way. "You were really working on how to ask me out, and I beat you too it?" It was an ego boost since Falcon was often first in many things in classes and so on. "I think it's better to say how you feel or what you think than not saying anything all. If you take no risks then you might not get any rewards or in your case know if the guy you like likes you back."
When they had fell into the lake Iris forgot her hair for a minute as she worried about potential lake creature attacks. With Falcon's help she started to pull herself back up into the boat they had been sitting in. His mention of her hair though brought her focus back. "Really? There is less dye?" She asked unsuredly. Raising up a hand to touch her hair and pull down a strand to look at it she quite didn't believe her eyes...Was it really just blonde again? But focus on Falcons more important question Iris almost screamed with happiness in response. "Yes, yes, 1000 galleons Yes, I want to go to hogsmeade with you next weekend. Maybe we can meet in Honeydukes and go from there?"
