Staring at the plate, Connor wasn't going to eat it, least not then. "And... you were hoping he'd show up?" Wait a minute, why was he feeling sorry for this guy? He brought up an important point. "Those spoony blokes set this up." It was decided; he was going to kill Falcon. Well, not really. He'll settle on whacking him with a pillow. "Are you disappointed that I showed up?" Eyeing the cake even more now.
Connor could call him arrogant as much as he wanted - which was a first for Vi, by the way - but his confidence was something that he was never going to let go of. He had worked hard to build it up for as long as he could remember. Now that Connor was sitting, Vi watched him intently. He was still surprised that the Ravenclaw was actually sticking around. Not that he was going to complain.
The Gryffindor withdrew the offered cutlery, figuring that maybe it was not being accepted because he might be overwhelming the other guy. “Well… yeah. I mean, he is my bestie and very important to me. I would never turn down time with him.” He was sure that Connor felt the same about his own. Soon enough, they both figured things out and ended up being on the same page made him chuckle. “That they did. I’m going to be having a serious talk with Di to find out his reasoning behind this.” He was rather interested in hearing about that, but he was far more interested in the person in front of him. Whereas Connor refused to look at him, all this while Vi hadn’t taken his gaze away from the other. What a cutesy face, did Connor know? But when that question was asked, he found an opportunity that just might get him to look up. “What does my face tell you, Connor?” Because there was no frowning, no annoyance, no negative emotion there. Not even in his body language. |
