Well, it probably didn't help that he just happened to be everywhere he went. At least, that was the logical side of him, trying to work it out and figure out why.

Connor rolled his eyes, "Well of course it doesn't look like your handwriting, I wouldn't have followed it if it didn't look like Falcons." But he didn't look like a guilty person. Unphased by the question, since it wasn't the first time people wondered how close he and Falcon were. "Well, we are best friends." Feeling awkward just standing there, he reluctantly sat down to settle things. "There's always something going on with us since we were little." Cheek meets cheek. "I doubt you'd be able to mimic him for long." He had an air that made him stand out even when just chilling.

As for a date. "I wouldn't know, hence why I'm here." Adding, "It would be an odd choice when he's already spending time with his teammate." What was her name again? Eris? Not that it mattered, since clearly, there was no date happening now. "You didn't answer me seriously though, why hang out here when it's typically for couples?"

Vi wouldn’t say that he happened to be everywhere, exactly. He would most likely have taken another route of relentless teasing towards Connor about the Ravenclaw stalking him. Watching him roll his eyes, Vi couldn’t help but chuckle softly. It didn’t bother him, these reactions, even though he was used to everyone melting immediately from his charms. Connor probably needed said charms to be amped up a bit more. Vi could certainly try that but he did not see himself chasing someone in the long-run who didn’t want his attention.

“That’s exactly why it can’t be a joke. Not my writing, not me pretending to be Falcon.” The Gryffindor reached for the fork, twirling it once more between his fingers like a tiny baton. He was certain the surprise registered on his face at the moment Connor took a seat. He himself would have offered it if he hadn’t thought that the fifth year would have turned down the invitation. Still, he couldn’t help but feel a tad happy that Connor was sticking around for a bit. Even if it was being reluctantly done. “That certainly explains it… to an extent,’’ Viano remarked. Then again, whatever it was between those two, it was their business. At least he could understand fully what it was like having a bestie. Vi chuckled again. “Trust me, I don’t want to mimic him or anyone else. I’m perfectly content with being myself every second of the day.” The confidence that Vi was known for was very much present.

Connor’s words only served to cement Vi’s suspicions. If Falcon was hanging out with someone else, and Di didn’t show up, and had told him exactly where to sit… well, it was what it was. He wasn’t going to overthink it. But he sure would be having a word with Di later on. “My best friend asked me to be here. He even picked out the spot where I should sit.” An eyebrow was lifted. “I have the feeling that he had no intention of being my date today though.” Smirking, he held out the fork, handle-first, towards the other guy. “We can share this if you want.” The carrot cake, that is. Hadn’t professor Goth told him there were nicer ways of getting Connor’s attention instead of flinging popcorn at him? This certainly counted, right?
