~ Mrs. Steve Harrington ~ Claimed by Bits ❤️ ~ Queen of Typos ❄ Magical Mosh Pit ❄ True, Levi had determined that he hadn’t caused damage to the Bubotuber plant, but for added comfort - to himself and the plant - he did something he had never done before: he petted the plant gently with a gloved hand. “You’ll be as good as new soonish. But now, I will leave you be since Professor Hawkins has given the class work to do.” Pet, pet.
Now that the cutting had been secured, the third year moved to gather other materials that he would need for the next step: a small pot, soil, compost and a trowel. They were all easily found as naturally, they were kept within the Greenhouse for exactly this reason. Otherwise, Hawkins must have set them there for today’s lesson. Humming to himself, Levi did a mixture of compost and soil, taking great care to have the two incorporated well with each other. This was accomplished with the use of the trowel. Once done, every bit was scooped into the pot so that it was full but not TOO full. Now it was time to return to his seat… but first! Levi ensured that he cleaned the trowel and any bits of spilt soil and compost. Tidy workspaces were a must.
Back at the table, soil was dug away from the center of the pot, enough so that the cutting would fit snuggly within. Levi peered at it nestled there and a smile graced his features. He hoped this would grow into a happy, healthy Bubotuber plant. With great care, soil was piled onto the cutting. “Something’s missing,’’ he mused, squinting at the pot for a second. “Oh yes! Water!” Wand in hand, the appropriate charm was cast. “Aguamenti!” Levi ensured to control the flow - a trickle, not a waterfall that would result in flooding.
Another step was completed! |
