"No, not Isla--- ILYA," Bernie repeated, louder, with emphasis. "He can change his hair and eye colour and stuff and he's in Ravenclaw, in our year???" C'mon Blake, he'd probably seen him around. The kid LOOKED like an elf but was actually a meta--- a meatamorph--- er, she didn't know what it was called, okay, but he was good at self-transfiguration!

Anyway, so um, Bernie was trying to avoid talking about Claudine, but it wasn't working. She sighed and lowered her sandwich. "I did see Claudine. And now if I never see her again, then I would say GOOD." She'd lost her appetite thinking about that girl and had to set her sandwich to the side.

"A trip to America?! That's awesome!" WOW! So cool! Bernie was definitely a little envious of that; she and her family had never been able to afford international travel. It had actually been a big expense when she'd been suspended from Beauxbatons in France and had been sent home. "Um, I made my sister a cinnamon bun cake right at the end of summer...." since her birthday was at the end of July and all. She tried to think if anything else had happened? But no, actually, most of her chaos so far had happened at Hogwarts, so Bernie remained quiet and thoughtful at this question....
