Name: Brighton Herryk Brown.
D.O.B: February 1st, 2069.
Blood Status: Pureblood.
Physical Description: Classically handsome, Brighton isn't the tallest but he makes up for it with a confident gait and tilt to his shoulders. He dresses simply but professionally, preferring button down, long sleeved shirts, trousers and loafers. Colors aren't necessarily something he invests a long time on but he adds a pop of it here and there to mix up with the grays, blacks and whites. He doesn't have a particularly varied palette of expressions, and his resting face is that of polite disinterest most of the time. He's well groomed and rarely if ever allows his his hair to grow past the upper tips of his ears.
Distinguishing Features: Dark, heavy brows. A nasty looking scar on the palm of one of his hands that he does not try to conceal.
Wand: Pine, phoenix feather, 10 inches. Unyielding, much like its master.
Broom: No.
Pet(s): Giacomo, an ocelot/kneazle hybrid.
Patronus: Aardvark.

Job Title: Evolutionist at the Department of Mysteries.
Employment Date: December 2092.
Job Description: Searching for evidence of the origins of magic in the universe, investigate the evolution of magic the universe, investigate the evolution of the universe, researching the big bang theory.

Personality: Brighton is short and to the point. He finds time to be valuable, going through life like he's running out of it. Thus he only invests it on what interests him, leaving very little room--if any-- to what does not. He is loyal to the point where it can become detrimental to his own person, but this is only with a select few. First impressions mean a great deal to him and he's quick to discard and disregard those he deems either uninteresting, unimportant or both. His favourite word is probably 'No' and once his mind has been made, it's difficult to make him change it. He is tactile and has flair for divination; though he believes nothing is set in stone, he also thinks that in order to keep things from happening as the stars want them to one must work extra hard to make it so. Time, space and the future are, after all, only manageable for those willing to make them their own.

As a general rule Brighton will always select individual work first, though team work is perfectly manageable if needed. He likes having room to get creative and experiment and while he can follow instructions just fine, he exceels best when he is permitted to give things his own spin and touch. Brighton takes extensive notes and is a firm believer of the scientific method.

His interests and hobbies include but are not limited to: All forms of divination, black holes, galaxies, stars, mathematics, ancient magic reading, ancient language books he requires old dictionaries to understand, modifying spells to suit his needs, explosions, tea, electropop, gardening, fencing, aethonan riding, archery, bath bombs, poetry.

Brighton speaks English, Norweigan, and Cantonese. His german is okay at best and his French leaves a lot to be desired.

Strenghts: Dedicated, determined (stubborn), creative, responsible, unafraid of commitment and hard work, good listener, observant.

Weaknesses: Stubborn, vindictive, jealous, slightly paranoid, pessimistic, has a switch that never turns off.

History: The result of an extra-marital affair, he was born Brighton Herryk Tømmeraas and lived within the grey area of what was a combination of luxury and modesty. Purebloods as they both were, Herryk Tømmeraas and Gloriana Ng could not have come from different backgrounds and ideologies. Brighton saw little of his father, a man who made up for his absence with gold and exhubarant gifts, and it was on his mother to shoulder all the weight. By the time he turned six, his mother had married and a man by the name of Sixto Brown; Sixto and Brighton quickly bonded in al the ways Brighton and Herryk never did, and Brighton soon equated his biological father with something like a forced benefactor with a deep disinterest in his life and Sixto as the only father he cared to know.

Growing up came with sisters (Baylen, Ella and Viviana) and Brighton quickly picked up an interest on things that could not be easily explained. Divination, the limitless possibilities of the universe, his father's complete lack of interest in his life. Said interest only made an appearance when the time for his standard education was to start, and it was only to request Brighton attended Durmstrang the same way Herryk had. There were some concerns about this; the school's distance from the family's home in Cumbria, the school's reputation for the Dark Arts. But these were quickly disregarded when an additional bag of gold was sent over as response to their resistance. From his part, Brighton's anger in his father never wavered, though he happily went away to Durmstrang, taking the opportunity to flourish or fail by his own hands.

He graduated with good enough marks to get into all his universities of choosing. Though he made friends in his time at Dumstrang and loves his family dearly, Brighton always found himself feeling at odds with the rest; as though there was a wall that clearly separated him from others. Thus he chose WU Hong Kong in the end, openly because of its extensive Arithmancy and Divination programs and privately because he ached to find a connection in there. After all, it was the place his mother's family hailed from and one he hoped to fully find his missing piece in.

Brighton graduated with honors and served as TA for his last semester. He currently goes as Brighton Brown to honor his stepfather, though for reason he prefers not to think about, he's yet to legally change his name.
