He then resumed his position to catch another. "Hiya!" he greeted with a one-handed wave. The other was still holding the frozen salamander, slowly lowering it to the flames. He didn't like the idea of just DROPPING them in, but yeah, you know... fire. He imagined though that they were kinda like cats, and landed on their feet, or well.. they were kinda flat so maybe that helped? Who knew, he was no veterinarian. "How many you got so far?" he asked, curious.
He'd caught two himself, so he really only needed one more. Three was sufficient practice according to the notice, but he wouldn't object to sticking around a little longer than that.
It was just then that he caught sight of a lizard climbing out of the flames... slowly.. so it hadn't made it's fun for it yet.
