Model: Tom Sturridge (thanks Tegz<3) PersonalityHolden can be described in many ways. Although, none of them are exactly words you’d want to be used when others describe you. He’s arrogant, horribly mean, condescending and snobby. And that’s just the beginning. He’s not normally a hard worker, nor a worker who cares much about what he’s doing, unless of course, there’s something in it for him. Holden doesn’t enjoy giving things away for free, nor charity in general. He keeps those standards for himself as well. He won’t accept anything unless he absolutely deserves it.
It’s difficult for Holden to be ‘nice’ to people, but when he really tries, he can kind of be? Eh, for him it’s fantastically nice, for someone else it might just barely be in between decent and evil. Most often, he likes being alone, so you probably won’t find him chatting up some woman, or even someone he works with because he just doesn’t see the point. He’s never the one to initiate conversation. But of course, if he really needs to suck up to someone, like his boss *COUGH*, then he definitely will, even though it will be extremely difficult.
Does he have a soft spot for anything? Not exactly, but if you had to call something about him a ‘soft spot’ you might say that he’s a teensy bit fond of his nieces and nephew, even though the nieces are fairly young. He doesn’t have any pets, and he doesn’t intend on getting one anytime soon. Now that he’s older, Holden gets on a bit better with his brother, but still can not go a day without insulting him in one way or another. Although, Dawson has grown to ignore it these days. And as for a girlfriend, Holden doesn’t see the point in that either.
HistoryEver since Holden was a young boy, he’d always been picking on someone. And generally speaking, he didn’t pick on girls because he liked them, he picked on them because he could. He has always been someone of a mean, smartie pants who always thought he could get away with anything. That’s probably because his parents didn’t care enough to discipline him and his brother. So, he did whatever he wanted, creating bad habits from himself along with making other people’s lives miserable. Sadly enough, he grew rather good at it too. He had always been a rather independent child, always preferring to be alone and think up new ways to annoy his older brother.
Once Holden started his schooling in Hogwarts, after his brother of course, he grew even more snobby and condescending. Especially toward the Hufflepuffs. He didn’t have many friends because he really didn’t have the ability to make them let alone compromise with them. Everything had to be his way, or no way at all, leaving people to get easily upset with him, and ignore him. So, relationships were difficult to keep for him, and they still are. His schooling went normally, his best subjects being Arithmancy and Muggle Studies; while his worst ones seemed to be anything outdoorsy such as Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology.
After graduating Hogwarts, Holden pursued a career in the muggle world, just as his father had. And again, similar to his father, he went into muggle Banking. When he was younger, he had always been fascinated by money, so naturally, he learned each countries currency, along with how to convert it all. The only reason Holden applied for a job in the ministry was because his mother and father cut him off, and being in banking had not been enough for his expenses. Holden has expensive taste.

He loved sports of any kind, and looooves to flirt. The twenty six year old’s favorite sports would probably be surfing, soccer, a bit of football, and some kick boxing. He can’t stand people messing with his two best friends, which both happen to be girls, whom he loves. He also just might LOVE one of them a bit differently. The one thing that Emery fears is someone he loves getting hurt. The man loves adventure, and danger, so you’ll most likely catch him doing something he shouldn’t. History: From a young age, Em’s family has always been poor. They barely survived, living off of the land, and the not so well paying jobs that his parents had. And being part of a family as large as theirs, and having six other siblings, money was barely ever in the house. Emery was home schooled because they couldn’t afford school of any sort even with the small amount of money that a student did receive. Plus, he had to stay home and work so that he could share the money he earned with his family, because he was the second oldest.
Emery had always hated being home as a child because his parents would neglect him thanks to all of the other kids in the family. He was the unheard voice in the household, never being heard by his parent, and barely ever his brothers or sister. Those childhood events make him the somewhat rebellious man he is today. It also causes him to strive for the attention he never received as a kid.
When Emery was around 9, he and his friends were hanging out, exploring the nearby towns when they stumbled across an old abandoned house. They explored it from top to bottom, and over the next year, it became their regular hang out spot. One evening, he and his friends were lounging around in the house, playing with the old furniture when tragedy struck. Unbeknownst to Emery, his friend Jordan was playing with the old stove. None of them knew what it was, being that they were all wizards on some level, and the boys left little Emery behind because he "didn't feel like going home just yet". Jordan had left the stove on and somehow, the gas was lit, causing the old, abandoned wooden house to catch on fire. With Emery still inside of it.
He had been laying on the dusty red velvet couch when his nose smelled the smoke that was rising from below him. Quickly, he shot up, and placed his feet on the ground. He shot towards the door which his friends closed on their way out. It was burning hot. He jumped backwards and spun in a circle, wondering what to do next. But the fire spread quickly and soon reached the second floor. It burned down the door that he had wanted to use as his exit. He sat huddled in a corner and watched the building fall down around him until he passed out from the smoke. Next think he knew, he was in a muggle hospital with wires attached to his arm.
As time went on, and as Em became 18, he got involved with the ministry, gaining a job there. He started off in the MLES and eventually worked his way up to his current Auror position. Most of the money he earned went back to his parents to help out with the younger kids. From there, he became a very well respected young Auror. As time went on, things were weird. He grew bored there and he wanted out of Australia and away from his family. So, he asked for a transfer from his boss, and eventually, after what seemed to him like forever, he received it. So, he transferred here, to England. But not only did he have a new job, he was also closer to his family, the Conrads.
